Tour de France 2009

During the Tour's 96th edition, I was mainly focussed on the tour debut of the Skil-Shimano team.

The mountains turned the team’s sprinter, Kenny van Hummel, into one of the cult figures of the race.
His desperate and solitary fight against exclusion by timeout made everybody passionately follow the bottom of the classification.

The series accompany observations of dutch journalist Nando Boers in his book “In de Tour”, published by LJ Veen in June 2010.
